The New Recommendations page is a complete guide of today's Barchart Opinions for Exchange Traded Funds. The Summary Page links to a detailed page for each Indicator's Buy/Sell/Hold rating. Barchart Opinions show traders what a variety of popular trading systems are suggesting in terms of going long or short the market.
The top of the Summary page provides links to the ETFs that are at a 100% Buy or a 100% Sell Opinion. Click on the number to get the full list of ETFs.
The remainder of the page — Today's New Indicators — contains the listing of ETFs whose indicators have changed to a new Buy, Sell or Hold signal for the time period selected at the top of the Summary page. Each of the indicators have a subset of ETFs, which can be accessed by clicking on the number for each of the indicator's signal.
Note: Opinions on each symbol are updated every 20 minutes throughout the day, using delayed data from the exchanges. A security needs to have at least 201 active trading days in order to generate an Opinion reading.

About Barchart Opinions
The Opinions takes up to 2 years' worth of historical data and runs these prices through thirteen different technical indicators. After each calculation, the program assigns a buy, sell or hold value for each study, depending on where the price lies in reference to the common interpretation of the study. For example, if the price is above the moving average of the ETF then this is generally considered an upward trend or a buy.
Note: Opinions are updated every ten minutes throughout the day, using delayed data from the exchanges. A security needs to have at least 201 active trading days in order to generate an Opinion reading.
